Crafting Stories
Through Objects

BIO / Roosha Ranjbar

I transform stories into objects. Every piece begins with a question, a memory, or a personal thought, and evolves through material exploration into an object that invites curiosity, reflection, and connection.

Journey

Journey

Journey reflects the journey of life. Like the flame of a candle, it begins from darkness, grows, changes, and eventually fades, reminding us that every stage has its own beauty and meaning.

River

River is inspired by Toronto's ravine network and the quiet beauty of nature, reminding us that every element belongs to a larger whole.

Begooy Magooy

Begooy Magooy

Begooy Magooy, a Farsi phrase meaning "telling and not telling", explores the lasting impact of words. Some become quiet sources of strength, while others leave marks that shape us long after they are spoken.

Rebirth

Rebirth explores transformation as a continuous cycle of becoming. Throughout life, we repeatedly shed old versions of ourselves, making space for new ones shaped by experience, loss, and growth.

Yet every rebirth carries traces of what came before. Scars, memories, and lessons remain, reminding us that no beginning is ever entirely new. This work reflects the impermanence of life, where neither joy nor suffering lasts forever, and every ending quietly holds the promise of another beginning.

The Beginning

The Beginning

The Beginning explores the delicate threshold between pain and creation, where deep wounds become the ground for transformation. Through layered, unfolding form and a blurred, reflective center, the piece acts as a metaphor for our current times, capturing the fragile, irreversible moment where injury gives way to new life.

Forms of Memory

Inspired by Iranian architecture, this collection brings together heritage and modernity through the contrast of cement, brass, and copper.
